Staff and volunteers in the Conservation Lab work to preserve the many artifacts on exhibit throughout the year. From polishing brass fireplace pieces to replacing missing decorative pieces on the gilded frame of a painting, the conservation lab sees all types of artifacts come through its doors. Furniture, metals, framed art, statues, upholstery, ceramics, mirrors and much more are repaired, cleaned and prepared for exhibit in our historic house museums and galleries.
