A Tryon Palace Trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture

Join Tryon Palace as we explore the National Museum of African American History and Culture, June 15, 2018, in Washington D.C.

The NMAAHC features American history through the lens of the African American experience. Discover artifacts from clothing with secret messages used during the Underground Railroad, to shackles used for the slave auctions. The NMAAHC confronts America's history of slavery and racial oppression and memorializes the suffering, while spreading a positive message.

Join Tryon Palace as we walk through the chronological history of African Americans and honor those who have fought, sung, and created history!
