Camps for Individuals

Tryon Palace Fife and Drum Corps Summer Camp

Music and history join together in harmony as youth ages 10-17 learn the basics of reading music, playing scales, and marching with Tryon Palace's prestigious Fife and Drum Corps. Click here to register.

Duration: 8 hours daily, June 19-23
Price: $150 per camper ($125 for Tryon Palace Foundation Members)

Camps for Groups and Partnering Organizations

A Day in the Life

Travel back to the 1830s with interactive experiences and hands-on exhibits that explore life in a bustling North Carolina port town. Activities include working as a crew member on the SS Snapdragon to working in a  turpentine distillery, cooking, and much more. Tours include the Pepsi Family Center, Robert Hay House, Gardens, and the Governor's Palace. 

Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours
Price: $6 for ages 6-17, $15 for adults

Gardens and Galleries

Let kids be kids with a day of hands-on learning and outdoor exploring. Step inside the Pepsi Family Center for interactive exhibits and a journey through our time machine, and then go outside to explore our 16 acres of beautiful gardens.

Duration: 2-3 hours
Price: $3 Youth (grades 1-12), $10 for adults

One Day Pass

Explore more than 300 years of local history by touring Tryon Palace's historic and re-constructed buildings. Interact with costumed interpreters and get a 21st century experience with the North Carolina History Center's state of the art exhibits and galleries. This comprehensive ticket allows you to explore all that Tryon Palace has to offer and fully explore the rich history of New Bern and eastern North Carolina.

Duration: 4 to 5 hours
Price: $6 for students, $15 for adults
