The Stanly House

Tryon’s Tots Invited to Learn About Mr. Washington

Tryon’s Tots ages 3-5 are invited to learn about George Washington and visit the New Bern house where he slept during his southern tour Thursday, June 9, at 10 a.m.

The tots will spend time learning about America’s first president while visiting the historic John Wright Stanly house. Afterward, each participant can make a patriotic craft.

Admission is $6 per child (includes one accompanying adult for free) and additional adults are $6. Program is also included with the purchase of a One Day Pass. Extra openings will be filled the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tryon’s Tots is designed for individual families and space is limited to 20 children. Preschools interested in booking an entire class for this tour are encouraged to contact Tryon Palace Group Services at 252-639-3524.

All Tryon’s Tots programs begin at the North Carolina History Center.
