Tryon Palace is hosts its annual Spring Tea on the South Lawn this Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 13, from 2-4 p.m. in downtown New Bern.
The tea will take place under a tent on the South Lawn with servers and a multitude of tasty treats. The event begins at 2 p.m. with guided tea-themed tours of the Governor’s Palace. With the purchase of a ticket, visitors can also enjoy the 16 acres of Tryon Palace gardens all day.
Tickets are $25 plus tax for adults and $15 plus tax for youth, with a 10-percent discount for Tryon Palace Foundation members.
The event is rain or shine and the tea service will take place under a tent. Limited seating.
