Free Children’s Art Workshop Draws Inspiration from Palace Gardens

Fall art workshop invites children ages 5-12 to N.C. History Center on Oct. 10

Children ages 5-12 are invited to the North Carolina History Center for a Fall Art Workshop Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon. This free workshop invites each participating child to create a decorative fall wreath and receive a free galleries pass for the day.

The workshop includes a free youth galleries pass (includes Pepsi Family Center) for every participating child. Adults do not need a ticket to accompany children in the workshop but a Galleries Pass will be required for adults interested in joining children inside the galleries. A 10-percent discount on galleries passes will be offered to all accompanying adults.

This free workshop is limited to 80 children and preregistration is strongly recommended.
Children may attend the workshop any time between 10 a.m. and noon, and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Workshops will be conducted by a certified North Carolina K-12 art teacher and projects can easily be adapted for children with special needs.

The Fall Art Workshop is offered free of charge thanks to a grant from the Craven County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
