Explore the Holiday Traditions of Centuries Past with Tryon Palace Lunch and Learn

NEW BERN, NC – November 18, 2016

Visitors can explore the holiday traditions of centuries past at Tryon Palace Friday, Nov. 18, during the Lunch and Learn lecture at the North Carolina History Center that begins at noon.

The lecture will help explain where many iconic holiday traditions come from, through the 18th century days of Thanksgiving and Twelfth Night celebrations to the introduction of Christmas trees in the 19th century.

This monthly brownbag lunch series will be held in the North Carolina History Center.

Tickets for each event are $6 per person and free for Tryon Palace Foundation members. Each Lunch and Learn will begin at noon and guests will meet in Mattocks Hall inside the North Carolina History Center. No food or refreshments are provided.
