Tryon’s Explorers to highlight 18th century gardening Saturday, Sept. 12
Tryon’s Explorers invites children ages 6-10 to explore the Tryon Palace Kitchen Garden, discover how the royal governor’s food was grown in the 18th century and plant a seed of their own to bring home. This program will begin at the North Carolina History Center at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.
Tryon’s Explorers is designed for individual families and space is limited to 20 children. Extra openings will be filled the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are $6 per child with one accompanying adult free. Additional adults are $6.
