Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Tryon Palace Costume Shop



NEW BERN, NC – August 22, 2017

Tryon Palace will host a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tryon Palace costume shop where all the interpreters’ costumes are made. The tour will be held Tuesday. Aug, 22 at 2 p.m.

Tours in the Tryon Palace costume shop will be led by historic clothing interpreter, Leslie Lambrecht. Lambrecht will lead a tour of the historic Jones House with a brief description of the house and then through the Tryon Palace costume shop on the first floor of the house. Historical clothing research, sewing techniques used in the past and current projects for upcoming events will be discussed.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for youth. Space is limited on each tour.

The Tryon Palace costume shop tour will begin and end at the Waystation, located on the corner of George and Pollock streets.
