The Great Fire of New Bern: Images on its 100th Anniversary
This December marks the 100th anniversary of the largest urban fire in North Carolina. It happened in New Bern in 1922, when 40 city blocks were destroyed and more than 3,000 people were left homeless. Tryon Palace will host a panel exhibit in the Cannon Gallery of the North Carolina History Center including images from its collection recognizing this tragic event in New Bern history.
This exhibit is FREE to the public for viewing during normal open hours of the NC History. It will be on display through the end of January.
