New Bern Academy Exhibits
Open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 12:30 – 4:30 PM
FREE admission to four exhibits at North Carolina’s first chartered public school by the NC General Assembly in 1764. During the Civil War, the building was converted to a hospital, called the Academy Green. At this site the 35th Regiment of the United States Colored Troops mustered prior to battle.
