
Military Through the Ages: Rev War through WWII

Come learn about some of the many military groups that have evolved throughout history at the NC History Center. Several military reenactment units from Tryon Palace and across the state will be onsite representing military history from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam War. Many of these groups will be camping out on Friday evening on the Palace South Lawn.
Members of the NC Continental Line, 3rd regiment from Historic Halifax joining the Tryon Palace Continental 1st to perform light infantry tactics and portray camp life. This part of the MTA will be like a Rev War boot camp. The North Carolina Living History Guild will participate.
The Crew of the Leviathan will interpret Naval military history from 1685-1865.
Tryon Palace USCT 35th will reenact, play music, and tell the stories of the men in the original regiment.
Tryon Palace Fife and Drum Corps will join this day of reenactments to parade and perform at 12 noon, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM.
