Discover Tryon Palace: Holiday Home Tours

Join us on a tour of Stanly, Dixon and Commission Houses focused on the decorations and traditions of Christmas past. Matt Arthur, Tryon Palace Living History Coordinator, and Hadley Cheris, Tryon Palace Gardens and Greenhouse Manager, will lead a tour of the first floor of the Stanly, Dixon and Commission Houses, describing holiday traditions in the last 300 years and the special items used in the decorations.
Space is limited on each tour and flash photography is prohibited. Tours may involve walking and climbing stairs. Tickets do not include additional tours but do include access to the Tryon Palace Gardens.

Meet at Waystation at 10:30, tickets must be purchased before 10:30 AM. Tour ends at 11:30 AM

All visitors to Tryon Palace, North Carolina History Center, New Bern Academy, Waystation and other DNCR facilities, must wear face masks at all times within indoor settings.
