Visitors will see the splendor of tulips and spring blooms. Garden Lover's Weekend is held in conjunction with the Spring Historic Homes & Gardens Tour, which is sponsored by the New Bern Historical Society and the New Bern Preservation Foundation. Tryon Palace’s New Bern Academy is one of the featured stops on the tour. A separate ticket is required for the historic homes tour.
Be sure to stop by the Spring Heritage Plant Sale, April 7-8, on the Daves House Lawn just inside the Palace Gates. The 9th annual East Carolina Pottery Festival is also scheduled for Saturday, April 8, inside the North Carolina History Center featuring the work of dozens of eastern North Carolina potters.
Tryon Palace visitors who show a ticket to the Spring Historic Homes & Gardens Tour will receive a 10-percent discount on a One Day Pass. Please call 252-638-8558 for more information. Want some plants to take home? Be sure to attend our Heritage Plant Sale that same weekend.
