Born in the wilds of New York City and swamps of Charleston, South Carolina, married and touring musical duo of 12 years Megan Jean and the KFB blend genres, percussion, and passion to create a sound that has been described as "special, rare, and important.” Wordkrapht. Based in an artist's collective in Tamaqua, PA, Megan Jean and Byrne Klay travel the country to play music, and head home to make visual art in a turn of the century Wagon Factory called WagonWorks. The pair has released four albums and are currently in pre production for their fifth studio album. Having played well over 2,000 shows on the road, the Klay Family Band has shared the stage with Charles Bradley, Shovels and Rope, Rayland Baxter, and Amythyst Kiah.

The band aims to explore the Celtic roots of North Carolinian music, and to play it with a fire and intensity they feel is lacking in much of today's folk music. The result is an avalanche of Scotch-Irish hillbilly insanity they dub "Celtic punk-grass." As far as folk music goes, they're about the best partying and dancing band you'll find.
