8th Annual East Carolina Pottery Festival

Saturday, April 9, 2016 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

The 8th Annual East Carolina Pottery Festival will be held Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the North Carolina History Center in downtown New Bern, North Carolina. Over 50 local potters will gather at the North Carolina History Center to exhibit and sell their pottery and demonstrate various throwing and building techniques.

Many well-known potters from Wilmington to Elizabeth City, and Beaufort to Asheville will display their unique talents in clay and share their original pieces.

Ben Watford’s face jugs will put a smile on your face, and Rich Daniels’ face masks are sure to stir your tribal feelings. Carolyn Curran will have you asking “how can she possibly make pots so tiny?”  On the other hand, Scott Haines and Brent Wheelwright will leave you wondering “how can they make pots so large?” Carolyn Sleeper will also create her whimsical masterpieces as you watch.

This show is sure to be a great time for everyone who loves pottery in a beautiful, historic setting.
