18th Century Time Travelers’ Tour

Join Tryon Palace interpreters for an adventure back to the 18th century. Meet with Governor Tryon’s cook in the Kitchen Office and learn about 18th-century cuisine. A local Apothecary or Surgeon will discuss remedies of the time to ward off illness and some of the instruments used for surgery. Details of the latest fashion trends will help you travel to the past successfully. Learn the facts versus fiction as presented in Bridgerton, Outlander, Poldark and our American Revolutionary period. Tour includes access to the Kitchen Office, 18th century Stable Office, militia encampment, and the Palace Gardens.
