FREE admission to four exhibits at North Carolina’s public school to be chartered by the NC General Assembly in 1764.  Self touring of this historic building built in 1809. Exhibits include –  Face to Face: Civil War Sketches and  Stories; New Bern Architecture; Civil War Military Occupation; and History of Education.  

This famed North Carolina tradition returns to Tryon Palace with beautiful decorations inspired by the four seasons, and the tale of a mysterious princess enhanced by the magical glow of candlelight.

Come to an enchanting puppet show performed by Tryon Palace interpreter and puppeteer, Dennis Listermann-Vierling.  His fabulously detailed puppets and stages will bring to life a charming tale of Christmas at Tryon Palace, that will engage and delight everyone.
