Age My Way – “Hear Me NC” Listening Session Please Join Us.  One in five North Carolinians will be over 65 – more older adults than children for the first time ever.  What would you like to see happen to make life better for residents of all ages?

Join us on a tour of Stanly, Dixon and Commission Houses focused on the decorations and traditions of Christmas past.

FREE admission to four exhibits at North Carolina’s public school to be chartered by the NC General Assembly in 1764.  Self touring of this historic building built in 1809. Exhibits include –  Face to Face: Civil War Sketches and  Stories; New Bern Architecture; Civil War Military Occupation; and History of Education.  

  At this year’s Candlelight, 18th-century dancers return! On Saturday, December 3, you are invited to come to the Gateway Gallery of the North Carolina History Center to witness an open rehearsal.    The ladies will be strapping on side hoops over their modern-day outfits during this rehearsal.  Come catch a glimpse of what is to come at this year’s Candlelight, on December 10th and 17th. This is event is FREE and open to the public!  

Come join us for holiday crafts and fun! Members of the Kit Club will lead you through some of Kit’s favorite craft making. You know he is a crafty fox kit! Hot chocolate and cookies will also be served to sweeten up your afternoon!
