To fully experience all of the history available at Tryon Palace, you’re going to need a time machine. Luckily for you, we have one.
Whether you want to explore the historic homes and gardens surrounding the Governor’s Palace, catch a special exhibit in the North Carolina History Center, or simply have lunch on the New Bern waterfront, Tryon Palace has an experience to fit any timetable. We offer several ticket options that can accommodate your schedule and specific interests, including garden passes, group tour options, and tickets to our exhibit galleries. Many visitors also prefer to plan their visits around special events held throughout the year, including Free Day, Fourth of July and candlelight tours in December.
Once you’ve set a date for your visit, plan on joining us at the North Carolina History Center (529 S. Front Street) in New Bern, North Carolina. This is the main entrance to Tryon Palace, where you may purchase tickets, pick up maps and information, view an orientation film, and visit gallery exhibits. At the History Center you can also visit the Museum Store and have a relaxing meal overlooking the Trent River at Lawson’s Landing Café.
