Hours of Operation

Tryon Palace is only closed five days a year: Thanksgiving Day, December 24-26, and January 1. For the rest of the year, hours are as follows:

Monday through Saturday
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Governor’s Palace has guided tours available between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Kitchen Office is a self-paced building open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Dixon and Stanly houses have guided tours throughout the day. The North Carolina History Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check with the ticket desk for additional information and specific tour times.

Sunday
Noon to 5 p.m.

The Governor’s Palace has guided tours available between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. The Kitchen Office is a self-paced building open from noon to 4:30 p.m. The Dixon and Stanly houses have guided tours throughout the day and the North Carolina History Center is open from noon to 5 p.m. Check with the ticket desk for additional information and specific tour times.

Seasonal Garden Hours

March 1 - May 31 - gardens open until 6 p.m.
June 1 – Sept.  5 - gardens open until 7 p.m.
Sept.  6 – Oct. 31 - gardens open until 6 p.m.
Nov.  1 – Feb.  28 - gardens open until 5 p.m.

Monday-Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lawson’s Landing: A Riverwalk Café

Monday through Thursday:  8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(Kitchen closes at 4 p.m.)

Friday and Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
