The story of the Old North State will come alive in the 48,000-square-foot learning center adjacent to the Palace gardens on the Trent River. Each visit to the History Center will be an adventure to the past, using up-to-the-minute techniques. Adults and children alike will be able to take on a variety of historic roles and use an assortment of interactive options. The History Center, significantly boosting the educational resources of Tryon Palace Historic Sites & Gardens, will provide extraordinarily expanded resources for school children and the general public to learn of the proud heritage of North Carolina.
