History Navigator

Experience Tryon Palace in a whole new way. We call it the History Navigator; you’ll call it your own personal guide and reference librarian. Come face-to-face with the past from the viewpoint of historic citizens – African-Americans, women, children, and town leaders – or get an all-access pass to Tryon Palace’s inner workings from professionals such as a curator, gardener, or architectural historian.

The History Navigator is a portable interactive device that turns every aspect of Tryon Palace and the North Carolina History Center into a multi-layered interactive and historical experience. Contextual video, audio and images of history, landscape and architectural resources are right at your fingertips, no matter where you choose to explore.
