Green Garden

Green GardenMorley Williams called this a “Privy Garden,” a small enclosed space designed to be seen from the house and for the private use of the family. Early knot gardens were continuous interlacing bands of plants designed to express an endless cycle.
By the 18th century, any intricate pattern of plants was called a knot.
