Description of Work
THIS IS A REPOST PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT REAPPLY. THIS IS A
PROFESSIONAL POSITION TO SECURE GRANTS IN SUPPORT OF PROGRAMS AND
SERVICES, TO MONITOR IMPLEMENTATION OF GRANT AWARDS AND PROVIDE TIMELY
REPORTS AS REQUIRED BY THE GRANTOR, TO EDIT INSTITUTIONAL PUBLICATIONS
FOR VARIOUS AUDIENCES, AND TO PREPARE OTHER INSTITUTIONAL MATERIALS
AND REPORTS AS NEEDED. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE IDENTIFICATION OF
POTENTIAL FUNDING SOURCES AND PRODUCTION OF SUCCESSFUL GRANT PROPOSALS
FROM THESE SOURCES, EDITING AND SUPERVISING PRODUCTION OF A QUARTERLY
HIGH QUALITY MAGAZINE; AND ELECTRONIC UPDATES OF SUCH.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

OF THE PRINCIPLES OF GRANTSMANSHIP, JOURNALISTIC AND PROMOTIONAL
WRITING, PUBLISHING AND EDITING; AND USE OF INTERNET AND OTHER GRANT
OPPORTUNITY SOURCES AS RESEARCH TOOLS. INITIATIVE IN CONTINUING TO
EXPAND AND ENHANCE THE ORGANIZATION S GRANT PROGRAM, MAGAZINE QUALITY,
AND OVERALL QUALITY OF COMMUNICATIONS MATERIALS. OUTSTANDING WRITTEN
COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO SET AND MEET
DEADLINES. ABILITY BOTH TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND TO INITIATE AND
MAINTAIN PRODUCTIVE COLLABORATIVE RELATIONS ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION,
AND TO CREATE OUTSTANDING PUBLICATIONS WORKING WITH COLLEAGUES AND
WITH DESIGN PROFESSIONALS WITHIN A LIMITED BUDGET.

Training and Experience Requirements
GRADUATION FROM A FOUR YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY, PREFERABLY WITH A
MAJOR IN JOURNALISM OR ENGLISH; OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A REPOST PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT
REAPPLY. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
