Gardens & Landscapes

This late Victorian garden features many plants that we think of as “old fashioned.” In fact, many of these plants were exotic imports that were introduced into the South in the second half of the 19th century.

Among favorites plants imported from Asia in the 1800s are azaleas, hydrangeas and nandinas.
