Tryon Palace’s Holiday Celebration

At Tryon Palace, enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents of Christmases past and delight in your own Christmas Gambols. Whether it’s enjoying a concert of holiday music, joining in the festivities at the Stanly’s Twelfth Night party, or immersing yourself in our 18th-century candlelit Christmas celebration, fill your holiday season with music, mirth, and merriment with a nod to 250 years of America’s holiday traditions.
Christmas Candlelight
Saturdays, December 10 and
December 17, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
$20 per adult, $10 per student

Experience an 18th-century candlelit Christmas celebration! The evening program includes a tour through the Palace (and perhaps a word or two with the Governor), performances by Tryon Palace’s Fife and DrumCorps and Jonkonnu, and a variety of 18th-century entertainments. The evening ends with a grand illumination over the South Lawn. Tickets will be sold for specific tour time slots. This year, the outdoor entertainment will be unique each evening. For an additional $6 adults, $3 students, you may receive return admission to the second Candlelight – outdoor entertainment only.
Twelfth Night with the Stanlys
Thursday, January 5, 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 p.m.
$10 per adult
The Stanly family cordially invites you to attend their grand Twelfth Night party – January 5th, 1803. Join in the festivities with traditional entertainments at the Stanly house, followed by light refreshments. Who knows, you may even be crowned the King and Queen of the evening!
This event is designed for adults; reservations and prepayment required by January 3. Payments received after December 16th by credit card only. Call 252-639-3524 to register. (Maximum enrollment: 20 per time slot, Minimum enrollment: 10)
Special Holiday Offering
